Maintenance Team

We are looking for strong candidates with related experience to join our golf course maintenance team. Team members work under the Golf Course Superintendent's direction and must bring a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Employees will perform various tasks related to maintaining a superbly well-conditioned facility, providing a tremendous opportunity for each individual to learn multiple golf course maintenance roles.

  • Mow greens, tees, fairways, rough, bunker slopes, yards, driving range tees, and other playing surfaces.
  • Prepare sand traps for play
  • Operate riding mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, sprayers, and three-wheeled vehicles in a safe and consistent manner
  • Perform daily checks of equipment for safety and functionality purposes
  • Ability to apply water to specified areas, select herbicide and fertilizer to specified areas with safety and consistency
  • Work and communicate with other team members in a positive manner

Chef (Part Time) 

  • Prepare all food items as directed in a high quality, sanitary, and timely manner.
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the Manager.
  • Clean and maintain the entire kitchen while practicing exceptional safety, sanitation, and organizational skills.
  • Has understanding and knowledge of how to properly use and maintain all equipment in the kitchen.
  • Communicate with staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure that guests have a positive and memorable dining experience.  

Summer Internship Opportunities

Longleaf Golf & Family Club is actively seeking motivated and passionate aspiring golf professionals to work in our Summer Intern Program in Southern Pines, NC. With Longleaf being the “Living Lab” of the U.S. Kids Golf Foundation, interns will learn and take part in virtually all aspects of daily club functions including:

  • Assist in Golf Shop Operations as needed.
  • Help coach all age groups at the U.S. Kids Golf Academy.
  • Tournament hosting and operations.
  • Outside Operations as needed.
  • Occasional assistance to Maintenance Team as needed.
  • Communicates well with fellow team members.
